A pair of Bengali shingara is one of the favorite snack recipes and is devoured as comfort food. Shingara Plain flour 1 cup Salt 1​/​3 tsp Cooking oil 1.5 tbsp Cold water 1​/​2 cup Boiled potato 3 Red chili 2 pcs Panch Phoron 1 tsp: Bengali 5 spice ( optional) Coriander seeds 1 tsp Green chili 3 pcs Sliced ginger 1 tsp Peanut 2 tbsp Dried red Chili 1 ( optional) Nigela Seeds ( 1 tsp) 1-2 tbsp of oil 1 tsp of Turmeric powder 1 tsp of chili powder Green Chutney 1 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves (cilantro leaves or dhania patta) ½ inch ginger - chopped 1 green chili - chopped 1 or 2 teaspoon lemon juice ½ teaspoon cumin powder (ground cumin) black salt or rock salt (edible and food grade) or sea salt as required 2 cloves garlic For Masala Chai 1.5 cup milk 1 cup water loose Assam tea or 3 tea bags 1 inch cinnamon 3 cloves 4 cardamom Sugar ( optional)

Rolling pin and board Knife Pestle mortar and mixer grinder Wok ​/​Pan for frying Sauce pan for chai
