Q: What is Larks Live?

Larks Live is a platform that hosts online, interactive cooking classes lead by professional chefs, bakers, sommeliers, and more. You can learn new skills, recipes from world-class tutors from the comfort of your own kitchen. We offer open group classes as well as privately arranged classes for friends and colleagues get in touch if you'd like to arrange a private class.

Q. What is a Larks Live Class?

A Larks Live class is an interactive, recreational foodie experience led by one of our professional team. The classes can cover specific recipes, skills or anything else food and drink related that can be enjoyed online. The details of the specific class are outlined in the descriptions on the class listing page, do get in touch if you have any specific questions about a class.

Q. How does Larks Live work?

1. Browse and book one of our classes.

2. Pick up the ingredients in advance of the class, if you want to cook-along.

3. Join the class via the zoom link that will be sent to you via email.

4. Enjoy cooking some restaurant-quality food and learning new skills with top tier professionals.

5. Enjoy your well-earnt spoils.

Q: Do you offer private one on one or group classes?

Absolutely. All our chefs are able to offer private tuition or group events. Do get in touch if you'd like to arrange something.

Q. Where does the class take place?

All of our classes are held online. Your class will take place over Zoom. We recommend you join from a laptop or tablet for the best experience. It's also possible to join on mobile, if you do, you will need to download the free Zoom app first.

Q. When will I receive my Zoom Link?

You will receive you Zoom Link in the 24 hours before the class is due to start. It will also be available in your inbox on the Larks Live platform. Click on the class confirmation email which will be in your Inbox on the Larks Live platform.

Q. I can’t find the Zoom link for my class?

We will send you the Zoom link by email in the 24 hours before your class. It will also be available in your inbox on the Larks Live platform. You will find it in the class confirmation email. If you still can’t find it, get in touch.

Q: I'm a beginner. Am I good enough to join the classes?

Absolutely, our cooking classes are for everyone, no matter where you are on your culinary journey. Our chefs are highly experienced and able to cater to all, they are also very friendly so there's no need to be nervous. Some classes are naturally more challenging than others and if you'd like some advice on this do get in touch.

Q: I can't make the date listed, do you repeat the classes?

Do get in touch with us if there's a class you'd like to attend but are limited by date and we can see if we can schedule another class.

Q: I have a specific dietary requirement, is it possible to adapt the dish for this?

We do our best to accommodate all dietary requirements in our classes. Please do email the chef and they will get back to you with any adaptations or substitutions that are possible.

Q: What should I do if I can't get hold of all the ingredients?

Don't worry if you're not able to get all of the ingredients, contact the chef, through the larks live platform if you need to make a substitution, or need advice on the ingredients and we'd be happy to help.

Q: I have never cooked online before, I'm not sure how it works?

Not to worry, it was a first for us all until recently! It's very easy, we will send you a Zoom link. You'll need to set up your computer, tablet, or phone in your kitchen and set up to cook along with the chef. The chef will guide you through each step of the recipe and you can jump in with questions and ask for help whenever you need. If there's anything you think you might need help with do get in touch and we'd be happy to help.

Q. How do I book a class?

Go to , browse the classes, select the one you would like to join and press ‘book now’, you will then need to provide your credit card details. Once payment is verified you will receive a confirmation email with a receipt.

Q. I don’t have Zoom. Is this a problem?

Not at all, you can join our classes on a laptop or tablet by just clicking the join link sent in your joining email. You will receive this email around 24hrs before the class is due to start. Or if joining on a phone you will need to download the Zoom app for free.

Q. I don’t have internet access at home, is this a problem?

You will need a good internet connection to join our online classes.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 24 hours before the class starts.

Q. Is there a maximum number of people in the class?

This will depend on the class, you can see on each listing the maximum number of participants, it’s usually between 12 and 20 screens, but this can vary.

Q. Do you record your classes?

Yes, we record all of our classes for training and quality purposes. We may occasionally use the class material for promotional purposes.

Q. I'd like to cook a specific recipe or learn a specific skill. Can you accommodate that?

We do offer private classes if there's something you'd like to cook with friends or as a one to one class. Alternatively, if you'd like to suggest a dish for a group class contact us with any suggestions or ideas you have for classes and we can try to accommodate your needs.
